October 18, 2023EMC Italia, with its Metal division, designs and manufactures metalworking machines capable of Deburring, Satinizing, Edge Grinding, Calamine Removal, Slag Removal and Polishing. Founded in 1999 in Monterenzio, in the province of Bologna, in a small 260 sq. m. shed, EMC has as its solid foundation the 30 years' experience of its founders, trained in world-leading companies active in the woodworking machinery sector. In 2002, the company moved to Imola (BO) to a new 780 sq. m. facility, and in 2006 to new headquarters, also in Imola, where EMC can thus count on a 2,300 sq. m. area.
Today the sharp increase in production sees the need for the implementation of new operational space with the birth therefore of a displacement of more than 1,600 square meters where a new showroom for the Metal department will be located.
All products can be seen in the EMC Metal Virtual ShowRoom, where it is possible to get an overview of each machine and the processing of a wide variety of materials. Not only design and production though, EMC Italia also supports the Customer with an after-sales service made of remote assistance, training and updating of operators on site. Technological developments and increased production by fiber laser cutting make it necessary to remove sharp profiles from parts by means of automatic machines for deburring, i.e., the removal of that part of material in excess after cutting, and satin-finishing, a finishing aimed at making the metal surface linearly uniform. But in addition to these classic requirements, other more important machining operations such as radiusing beyond 2 mm can also be carried out with dedicated tools. EMC's goal is to speed up a production process that to date can be done manually and to enhance the value of each customer's finished product, through the development of machines that employ innovative technologies and to the engineering of products, combining this with price reduction.
In addition to classic deburring machines, such as those in the MERCURY (available with useful working widths of 650, 1100 or 1350 mm), EMC firmly believes in the innovative OXY M650 5D.
This machine, equipped with 5 disc tools, was created to replace all manual machining performed by means of classic multifunction tools. The "average carpenter-company" will receive several benefits from the automation of the production process such as continuity of machining, constant increase in production, thus saving time and reducing costs
With a usable working width of 650 mm and a fixed-height table of 900 mm, thanks to its quick-release tools, the OXY M650 5D machine can be used in minutes to deburr or razor the edge simply by changing the tool type.
Today EMC proves to be a very dynamic company with various projects under study and in progress.
In line with this objective, the ROTOFLEX line was born : with a useful working width of 650, 1350 or 1650 mm, it is the best performing in its category, designed to meet the demand for large radii (Radius 2 and more)
EMC's primary focus continues to be on increasing the performance and reducing the price of its range of machines.
