The latest addition to EMC's Metal division is the OXY M650 4B machine. That's why we asked Lorenzo Cositore, Sales Director of EMC's Metal Division, to tell us what the most important features of this machine are and how it will revolutionise the way we work with metal.
#1 What are the characteristics of the OXY M650 4B?
The new machine is designed to perform radiusing, deburring and oxide removal in a way that traditional machines could not. In the case of radiusing, in fact, thanks to the innovative components that characterise the new machine, it is possible to have an abrasive power on the edge that is incredibly greater compared to traditional orbital methods.
#2 What customer requirement is being met by the machine?
Thanks to this technology, the customer can perform radii on edges well beyond more than 2mm (+R2) by simply setting the working speed and doing it all in one pass. The OXY M650 4B is a compact machine. compact machine (1400 x 1500 x 1500 mm), with 4 brushes Ø250 and a working width of 650 mm. Designed for customers who do not have an excessive production and who, limiting the price of the investment, want to to automate the work processes described described above. For those who require a larger machine suitable for more industrial use, there is the model ROTOFLEX M1350 (soon to be available on the website) which uses the same principle as the compact version but which, by fitting 8 brushes and being 1350 mm wide, considerably increases production capacity.
#4 How to choose the most suitable technical option?
Both models are with standard configurations that are already very well equipped.
The choice of optional extras, such as the Magnetic Table (ideal for small pieces in Fe), will be evaluated and discussed according to the specific needs of each customer.
